a Boulder Daily Camera article about us
Host is rated # 1 by the leading consumer report magazine as the top dry carpet cleaning method to remove soil and allergens. Host cuts through the dirtest carpet keeping it looking its best every day without over-wetting carpets and no toxic chemicals are ever applied. These two factors are the main reason of many why we are a green certifide method that sets us apart from other carpet cleaning methods. Our method of cleaning uses only one teaspoon of water per sq. ft applied. Having such a small amount of water, leaves carpets dry within 15 minutes to a half an hour after cleaning. Studies and testing, by professionals of the Host system and other carpet cleaning methods, have proven that the Host dry extraction method will triple a carpet's lifespan compared to other cleaning methods. One reason is the Host system does not leave a sticky residue behind so carpet does not need to be cleaned as often.

A brief written explanation how the host cleaning method works.... First the carpet is vacuumed with a powerful Host machine. (The Host cleaning machines, called the Freestyle and the Liberator, are unmatched in the marketplace for vacuuming and pile lifting capabilities.) The majority of dirt in carpet is 85% dry and is best removed by vacuuming. The counter-revolving brushing action dig deep and lift the carpet pile making vacuuming easier with the vacuum shoe. (This special vacuum shoe is between the brushes and close to the carpet sucking up ready to catch dirt and later the dirty dry host sponges.) Then a compound called Host is applied to carpeting, and with a gentle brushing action, the tiny moist sponges will absorb/trap three times their weight of oily dirt, grease, and allergens from carpet fibers. (Host compund is a low moisture, 100% non-toxic chemical solution --see MSDS data info and green seal approval-- that eguals to one teaspoon of water per square foot applied. These tiny natural sponges consists of a special safe blend of water, an orange citrus base, and a very small amount bio-degradable soap that leaves no sticky residue behind.) After the brushing action, the now dry, dirty host sponges are extracted out thoroughly with the special powerful HEPA-filter commercial vacuum. The used Host cleaning product can now be composted for disposal. (USDA approved)

***The Host method not only deep cleans your carpet and leaves your carpet dry immediately, professional studies also have verified that our system greatly improves indoor air quality by removing/preventing: odors, allergens, mold spores and bacteria. (Wet extraction can leave waste-water behind that takes days to dry, fostering molds, rancid smells, bacteria, and fungus spores --even if it feels dry it is not underneath.)
Think about leaving your clothes in a washing machine for a day or so, what happens? Odors and mold quickly appear. The clothes need to be washed again or they will become stained and have a rank smell to them. This is the same for carpeting. Steam cleaners or wet extractions must combat bacteria, molds, and odors by using strong chemicals to keep moisture and wastewater left behind from becoming foul!!!
