It seems one of the first questions our customers ask is :"What is this stuff you use to clean with?

It is called Host. The Host method is rated # 1 over all wet and dry carpet cleaning methods by the leading consumer magazine. http://www.hostcarpetcleaning.com/navHow.htm.

Pasco Study to be Presented at AATCC Conference.

In October of 2004 a cleaning trial done by Eddie Flicker, District Custodial Services Coordinator for the District School of Pasco County, has been completed.  With that study, five different types of carpet cleaning systems--high flow wet extraction, encapsulation, walk behind wet extraction, dry- Host-extraction, and truck mount wet extraction-- were used for a testing period over 4 years.  That study chose The HOST carpet cleaning as the method to deliver the best performance based on their written criteria.

The Pasco study has been accepted as a poster presentation at the International Convention of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists.  Recommend you click on link below to see how host performs and saves money:

Host lifts dirt, grease, or allergens from carpet fibers by using the right amount of moisture one teaspoon of water per square ft: a special non-toxic blend of compound or "sponges", orange citrus base, small amount biodegradable soap and water.   The HOST process involves: using large brushing machines (see images of process) that softly brush the HOST product "sponges" throughout all the carpeting cleaning individual carpet fibers; then the HOST sponges absorb all dirt and then is extracted out thoroughly with a  powerful HEPA filter commerical vacuum. The HOST method leaves no soapy, sticky residue to reattract dirt.

(Wet extraction) can leave waste-water behind that takes days to dry,  fostering molds, rancid smells, bacteria, and fungus spores --even if it feels dry it is not underneath.  (see our  Health/Environment page)

You will notice, immediately, when using our dry process how your carpets will look and feel renewed, clean, and fresh.  Carpets,  and area rugs can be walked on immediately and ready to be used.

***(Think about leaving your clothes in a washing machine for a day or so, what happens?  Odors and mold quickly appear. The clothes  need to be washed again or they will become stained and have a rank smell to them.  This is the same for carpeting.  Some steam cleaners combat bacteria, molds, and odors by using strong chemicals to keep moisture and waste- water left behind from becoming foul!!!  (Think about your children or pets, especially infants, being so close to the carpeting with chemicals applied.  There are documented cases of children getting very sick from chemicals used in steam cleaning.)
